Everything in moderation, right? This is Judy Gaman and this is your Stay Young Medical Minute. Did you know that this rule doesn’t really apply to exercise? It was previously thought that exercising greater than ninety minutes a day caused more harm than good. A new study out of the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio proved this to be wrong. In fact, the more aerobic exercise a person does a day, the better their health. Aerobic exercises include: dancing, swimming, brisk walking, jogging, biking, and climbing stairs. It’s time to break out the old sneakers and dust off that gym membership card, your body will thank you! Talk to your doctor if you are worried about a fitness related injury and remember to let injuries heal before continuing your exercise program. This Stay Young Medical Minute is brought to you by Executive Medicine of Texas, a leader in preventative and proactive medicine.
