The Study’s that support drinking wine for your health have been debunked. This is Judy Gaman and this is your Stay Young Medical Minute. I know many of you were thrilled when the so called experts came out telling you that drinking was good for you, but it turns out they were wrong. That’s bad news for the 2.3 billion people who drink alcohol. Even the old red wine twist is no longer valid, as a matter of fact, you’d have to drink bottles a night to have enough Resveratrol to help with anti-aging. Not only is heavy drinking bad for you, even just a few glasses of we per night can increase your stroke risk by 10 to 15%. For those that drink more than that, the risk goes up to 35%. Why the change of heart on this topic? We can now look at the way alcohol affects our genetic expression, something that we didn’t have the ability to do in the past. A special thanks to Oxford University's Nuffield Department of Population Health for helping unveil the truth behind the bottle. This Stay Young Medical Minute is brought to you by Executive Medicine of Texas, a leader in preventative and proactive medicine. Visit EMTexas.com that’s EMTexas.com or call 1-800-910- EXEC
