Do you use e-cigarettes? This is Judy Gaman and this is your Stay Young medical minute.  Vaping, or also known as an e-cigarette, related deaths are on the rise in the US.  Originally, vaping was a tool designed to help wean smokers from cigarettes.  However, vaping has been heavily abused by teens, exposing them to the dangers of nicotine.  In fact, many states have increased the smoking age to 21- this includes e-cigarettes.  The FDA is currently investing over 120 cases of neurological issues, such has seizures, that have been linked to vaping--and according to the CDC, over 450 cases of serious lung illness have also been linked to vaping.  If you’re a parent, let your children know about the dangers of vaping.  And if you use e-cigarettes, talk to your doctor about how to wean yourself off.  This Stay Young Medical Minute is brought to you by Executive Medicine of Texas, a leader in preventative and proactive medicine. Learn why patients from around the globe trust Executive Medicine of Texas to their health. Visit EMTexas.com that’s EMTexas.com
