A new study shows that rinsing your nose with a salt water solution regularly can help fight allergies. Dr. Melissa Pynnonen from the Michigan Sinus Center says that regular nasal irrigation is an inexpensive and easy way to find relief from allergies, stuffy nose, and nasal congestions. A simple yet effective technique is to pour a saline solution into one nostril and let it run out through the other while the mouth is kept open to breathe, using gravity as an aid. There are also inexpensive kits at the drug store available to make the process a lot easier and faster. A new study shows that people who gaze at their reflections for up to ten minutes at a time can become anxious and depressed about their looks - even if they were perfectly happy with them to start with. There’s actually a condition called body dysmorphia disorder where people constantly worry about their looks of shape. After reading this study on reflection, I have to ask myself, should we be discouraging all these selfies? One would have to conclude that snapping a picture and zooming in would cause the same affect. My advice – stop checking – everyone looks beautiful to me!
