You're eating this every day. and it could be the only cause of those major headaches. Food additives like artificial sweeteners sneak into snacks and even toothpaste and leave you feelings gross and sick. Look at every single thing you eat, drink, or use in or around your mouth for food additives and try to minimize your use, to avoid those harsh side effects.

Your sleep is important, and your mattress may be impairing that sleep---as well as causing problems in other areas of your health as well. Your back knees and hips all need proper support as you snooze, and your head and neck need support to have proper breathing and to minimize allergies. Today's tip is all about posture. Those computers, tablets, and cellphones keep you hunched over and looking at the floor. Sitting back, chin up, and shoulders down can increase your blood flow and make you 10x healthier. Bonus, it can also make you look thinner!!

Today we’re talking about finding balance and health. So many mixed messages

on what we should eat, how much we should exercise, what we should avoid.

We are joined by the national fitness and wellness expert Jennifer Galardi who

will share her advice and goals for the new year. Together we will talk about the truth behind the mixed messages we hear about our health and wellness, talk about the truth in labeling foods, and discuss the dangers of artificial sweeteners. Finally, we talk about the danger of stress and a lack of balance in each day.

Have you ever wondered how fat leaves your body? If you guessed through going to the bathroom, well, you’re only partly right. It also leaves through sweat – like the old saying “sweat is your fat crying.” But, I bet you never knew that you exhale fat too. Fat can actually be released as carbon dioxide as you breathe out, but of course that only works when you’re in a caloric deficit. Don’t think you can breathe your donut off. As a matter of fact, trying to work that donut off through sweat is pretty hard too. If you want to trim fat, don’t take too much in and keep up a regular exercise routine.

Are you a big chicken lover? Many people rely on chicken as their main source of protein. This may have been a good idea 40 or 50 years ago, but unless you’re eating free range chicken, it may not hold true today. The fat content in chicken that you may routinely purchase is now three times higher in fat content than it was in 1970. Partly this is due to mass raising, it also is due to their diet. Chickens who were once raised on worms, herbs, and seeds, now receive high calorie cereal. I guess it’s not really what you eat, but what your food ate before you ate it!
