Are you one of the 15% of Americans who still think smoking is ok? Think that the rules of consequence don’t apply to you? Think again. Here’s another reason to stop smoking for good. A new study out of Harvard shows that smoking permanently damages your DNA. Research shows that smoking can affect over7000 genes, and after five years free of smoking, many of these genes recover – a reason to quite. Unfortunately, they also found that in 19 genes, many of which are linked to cancer and heart disease the damage can be permanent. If you are a smoker it’s time to quite. If you are a parent, it’s time to set a good example, otherwise you are setting your children up for failing health and a dim future.
