We have all heard of diabetes, but do you know what diabetes feels like? Many people walk around with blood sugars that can go too high or too low and never think to have their symptoms checked out. When your blood sugar goes too high, which often happens to diabetics after meals they may experience people may feel fatigued, excessively thirsty, or have to urinate frequently. Over time, diabetics who are not treated may also have pain in their feet or numbness and tingling in their extremities. Blood sugars that fall too low may cause dizziness, weakness, or anxiety. Do you know your numbers? A fasting glucose should range between 80-130 and an A1C, the test that measures blood sugars over the course of three months should stay below 5.6. Know your numbers, save your life.
