Have you been sold on the health benefits of wheat grass? Are you one of the thousands of people who have wheat grass added to their smoothie each morning? If so, stop the madness. The science behind consuming wheat grass due to its high chlorophyll level is float out wrong. We were not designed to eat grass of any sort. Cows have four stomachs, enough to digest that chlorophyll. We don’t, we have one, and it wasn’t designed to digest wheat grass. Instead, consuming it can cause an inflammatory response because our body sees it as a toxin. This is also why grasses make our four legged friends, cats and dogs, vomit. Next time you have the option – forgo the wheat grass.
