Sleep is essential for good health, as we all know…but a new study
hints that there may be even more benefits. If you lower the temperature in your
bedroom a couple hours before bedtime, you could increase your weight loss! A new
study shows that a cooler bedroom could subtly transform a person’s stores of fat.
Keeping the bedroom cool, but not to the point of shivering, may be the answer. The
study suggests 66 degrees. If you can handle the cooler temperatures, you may be able to
boost your metabolism, turn your fat into energy, and trim your waistline. Other sleep
studies also suggest that a cooler room puts you into a deeper sleep. So, tonight, turn
that thermostat down. Don’t be surprised if you need to titrate it a degree every two
nights until you reach that ideal cool room.
