We are all athletes. Whether you aspire to play sports in college or just like shooting hoops on weekends, or maybe gardening is your thing. If you don't think those dance classes involve athletic ability, consider how much better your balance and stamina is. In my mind, everyone is athletic in one way or another. That’s why it’s important to have regular physicals with your physician. Discuss any issues you may be having with joints or stiffness. Your goal should be to stay active as long as you can. When we lose flexibility and stamina, our health declines. And don’t forget to stretch each day when you wake up, mid-day, and before you go to bed. I bet if you tried, the athlete in you could stay strong well into your nineties.
