How you describe your symptoms to your doctor may be a key factor in getting a quick and accurate diagnosis. For example, were the pains sharp or dull, are you haven sudden mood swings or simply depressed? Nobody can describe symptoms better than the person who is having them. The adjectives you say will be what the doctor uses to determine the next steps such as what blood work to order or x-ray to take. You play a vital part in your health, so make sure you take the time to listen to your body, write down what you’re feeling and when you’re feeling it so that you give your doctor a clear picture of what’s going on. It may just save your life.
