A little about Laura, our special guest: 

Laura Morton has written over 40 books and a staggering 19 New York Times Bestsellers, with a wide range of celebrities, including, Susan Lucci, Jennifer Hudson, Al Roker, Justin Beiber, Joan Lunden, Marilu Henner, Melissa Etheridge, Delta Burke, Katherine Schwarzenegger, Kim Zimmer, Denise Rich, Kathy Ireland, Sandra Lee, Danica Patrick, Bruce Hulse (famous male super model,) Ed and Lois Smart - the parents of Elizabeth Smart, Criss Angel, and the Jonas Brothers—just to name a few.

     

     In early 2016, Morton released, Been There, Done That, a wisdom and advice book with Al Roker and his wife Deborah Roberts, of ABC News and the highly anticipated breakthrough health book for high achievers, The Stark Naked 21 Day Metabolic Reset with the much sought after fitness trainer to some of the top high performing athletes, titans of business and celebrities in the world, Brad Davidson. 2015 marked a celebrated reunion with Joan Lunden, as Morton collaborated on two books with Joan that will intimately document her very courageous battle against an unexpected diagnosis of breast cancer and how Joan, through nutrition and other non-traditional methods, faced it head on.  The first book, Had I Known, published in September 2015, and the second book Now That I Know: What Cancer Taught Me about Health, Fitness and Reclaiming My Vitality will publish in early 2017. In 2015 Morton also reunited with Sandra Lee to write a business book and update her bestselling memoir, Made From Scratch.  

 

     Morton’s most recent bestselling books include, I’ve Got This, the instant New York Times bestselling memoir by Jennifer Hudson, Just Getting Started, by Justin Beiber and Reel Life: My Life So Far by Rico Rodriguez, star of the smash hit, Modern Family and Never Goin’ Back, the bestselling weight loss memoir with Al Roker.  

     

     Other recent celebrity collaborations include Grin and Bear It by Jenni Pulos from Bravo’s hit shows, Flipping Out and Interior Therapy and “I’ve Graduated, Now What?” with Katherine Schwarzenegger.  2011 brought Morton’s work All My Life, written with Susan Lucci, which made its publishing debut at #6 and enjoyed a four week stay on The New York Times bestseller list, along with Publisher’s Weekly and USA Today, and I’m Just Sayin’ by another beloved daytime diva, Kim Zimmer, also a New York Times best seller.  Other 2011 releases included a collaboration with Jay and Beth Loecken, the inspiring couple who founded Passion to Action, a spiritual movement to help inspire, empower and mobilize people to put their faith into action. Jay and Beth have been traveling the country for the past 2 years in their RV, together with their four children and new puppy, bringing communities together through their service to others and have written a book about their experiences, called P2A: How God Uses Ordinary People in Extraordinary Ways.

     

     2010 releases for Morton include, “Where Mercy is Shown, Mercy is Given” the follow-up to her number one bestseller with Duane “Dog” Chapman,  which made its debut on The New York Times  bestseller list its first week in publication and remained in the top ten for three consecutive weeks. “Life! By Design,” with top success and business coach Tom Ferry, which bowed at number four on The New York Times bestseller list as well as Publisher's Weekly,    The Wall Street Journal and USA Today in its first week in publication. “Rock What You've Got” with Katherine Schwarzenegger was published in September, 2010, and also made The New York Times bestseller list and with Korn bassist Reggie "Fieldy" Arvizu on his autobiography "Got The Life" published in March 2009.  

 

     In late 2007, Laura collaborated on “You Can Run But You Can't Hide” with Duane "Dog" Chapman. The book debuted at #1 on The New York Times best-seller list its first week in publication, remaining in the number one position for two consecutive weeks and on the bestseller list for nearly two months. More recently, Laura worked with the Jonas Brothers on their behind- the-scenes book "Burning Up: On Tour with the Jonas Brothers", which debuted at # 1 on The New York Times, where it remained for several weeks.  

 

     2006 releases included collaborations with Indy racing sensation, Danica Patrick, on her book "Crossing the Line" (recently sold to Lifetime for film rights,) “Face to Face,”  the emotional true story of Cheryl Molloy, who suddenly lost her husband and twelve year old daughter to a drunk driver, Audrey Kishline, the founder of Moderation Management, an alcohol awareness group. Remarkably, Cheryl found forgiveness in her heart, befriended Audrey while she was in prison for manslaughter and decided to write a book with her to share their dual story of forgiveness and redemption.  In 2007, Morton wrote “Mindfreak: Secret Revelations" by master Illusionist Criss Angel and co-authored “It's Not Just About Wrinkles,” with well-known and highly respected Park Avenue dermatologist, Dr. Neal Schultz.                                                   

 

     Morton has also co-authored works with Joan Lunden on “Joan Lunden’s Healthy Cooking” (Little, Brown) and their follow up book, “Joan Lunden’s Healthy Living” (Crown), both of which appeared on every major best seller list including The New York Times, Publisher’s Weekly, and The Wall Street Journal. Her third book, “Marilu Henner’s Total Health Makeover”, published by Regan Books, made its debut in May, 1998, and appeared on The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and Publisher’s Weekly best seller lists, remaining there for nearly three months. “Total Health Makeover” was also named one of the top five selling books of 1998 by Amazon.com and Barnes and Noble, and made the USA Today best seller list in January of 1999. Additionally, Laura co-wrote Jerry Springer’s autobiography “Ringmaster!” for St. Martin’s Press, which became a best-seller in several countries in Europe, including reaching # 1 in England and the Netherlands, as well as being adapted as a major feature film. She also completed a sequel with Marilu Henner, titled   “The 30-Day Total Health Makeover” which was also a major bestseller.                                               

 

     Two more of Morton’s books were released in March 2000. “Making the Impossible Possible”, a book Morton co-wrote with well-known network marketing entrepreneur Jason Boreyko, who formally owned NuVision International, the largest Christian network marketing company in the world, and “Totally Dairy-Free Cooking” written with the popular New York based chef, Louis Lanza.  Laura also collaborated with one of the most sought after celebrity event and party planners to the stars and WeTV personality, David Tutera, on his first book, “A Passion for Parties” published in the fall of 2001 by Simon and Schuster, launching his successful foray into publishing. She also wrote the best-selling book, "The Truth Is…" with Melissa Etheridge, which was on The New York Times Bestseller list for 8 weeks during the summer of 2001 and was chosen as the # 1 Music Biography of 2001 by USA TODAY.  "The Truth Is…" was also released In paperback with new text and photos, and reached bestseller status once again.  

 

     Laura Morton has also been engaged to write several business books slated for publication including My Next Step, by Dave Liniger, Founder and Chairman of RE/MAX (which made its debut on the New York Times bestseller list in May 2013 at number 7, and moved up to number 5 in its second week on the list,) They Can’t Eat You, by Marc Sparks, Climbing to the Top in Heels, a business memoir by Sandie Tillotson, the founder of the premier anti-aging company, NuSkin, The 4 P’s, with the 2015 Horatio Alger recipient and notorious investment manager and Hedge Fund tycoon Ed Hajim, a collaboration with Elliott Weissbluth, CEO and Founder of HighTower Financial Advisors on his Foreword for the bestselling Tony Robbins book, MONEY: Master the Game-7 Simple Steps to Financial Freedom, and legendary business coach and leadership expert John Maxwell on his bestselling legacy book, Intentional Living which published in October 2015.  

 

     Laura has been involved in the entertainment industry for more than 25 years as a writer, producer and entrepreneur. She is highly skilled in all forms of social media, marketing and promotion.
