Have you or someone you know suffered a heart attack? Survival may be a laughing matter. This is Judy Gaman and this is your Stay Young Medical Minute.  A study that was released at a past European Society of Cardiology annual meeting shows that heart patients are five times more likely to die if they develop depression or anxiety, while those who were not depressed had an eighty percent less likely risk of death. This is why staying positive through the process of recovery is so vital. If you have heart disease and signs of depression, like feelings of sadness, lack of energy, or the desire to sleep more than eight hours, talk to your doctor.
