MUSIC FOR DOC SHOCK (JIM)

Heart disease is the number one killer in America. Researchers at the Cleveland Clinic have shown that gut health may play a big role. We knew olive oil was good for us, but it turns out that some cold pressed olive oils may be responsible for inhibiting a gut metabolite called TMAO that is formed when we digest animal products. Like how statins work for lowering cholesterol, researchers have some inside into how to keep the gut healthy and prevent gut induced heart disease.
