MUSIC FOR DOC SHOCK

Have you ever wondered why you feel so good in the summer months? Well researchers at the University of Cambridge have discovered that our immune system varies with the seasons. This may explain why certain conditions such as heart disease and rheumatoid arthritis seem to be worse in the winder. The study looked at 22,822 genes in a population of 16,000 people. The study subjects included people from the US, UK, and Australia. Turns out, about a quarter of those genes change with the season. For example, the gene ARNTL, which was more active in the summer. This gene may be the key to controlling inflammation.
