A person’s face says a lot about them. Do you know what your face says about you? This is Judy Gaman and this is your Stay Young Medical Minute. University of Toronto found that people can identify with rather remarkable success if a person is wealthy or poor by looking at their face. Now the faces they looked at had no expression. Turns out the muscles on a face when at rest look differently based on life experiences. Because people don’t want to be judged, they suggest that you smile. Smiling is universal and lifts the muscle in to a place where people can’t tell anything about your socioeconomic class and instead see straight through to your heart.
