It can be incredibly powerful to put kids in charge of their own health. Give them the reigns at dinner, let them have the power to create healthy food for themselves. Have children make a potato fixin’s bar by choosing their own toppings for half a baked potato. Arrange separate bowls and serving utensils for refried beans, black-eyed peas, chopped chicken tenders, shredded low-fat cheese, sliced cherry tomatoes, thinly chopped spinach, and grated carrots for children to build their own baked potato. It so important to cook together too. Allow children to learn about foods by letting them help prepare them. By teaching your kids the value of cooking at home and family meal time is something that will also bless your children’s children. We want to empower you with as much health information as possible.
