DOC SHOCK
Are you thinking of having kids at an older age? You may want to have them before 35. Everyone knows that a pregnancy is considered high risk if a mother is older than 35 during conception. Turns out, the father’s age also plays an important role in a baby’s health. A new study out of Stanford University School of Medicine found that babies born to dads older than thirty-five were more likely to have health issues. The data was taken from over forty million live births and showed that after the age of 35, a man accumulated two new mutations in the DNA of his sperm yearly. These mutations have been linked to low birth weight and seizure disorders in infants.
