Is there someone you are really mad at right now? This is Judy Gaman and this is your Stay Young Medical Minute. Being mad at someone temporarily is a natural, human emotion, but holding a grudge can cause you more harm than good. When we hold bad feelings towards other people it actually makes us age prematurely. Our bodies have surges of cortisol when we think negative thoughts and being angry doesn’t solve the problem. Being able to forgive is important for overall health. Let’s face it, when we’re mad, we tend to do things like eat junk food, watch television, and maybe even drink more alcohol. If you’re having trouble getting past your frustrations, take up exercise. Running, or better yet, kickboxing, will help you burn off the bad hormones and raise the good ones. When you feel good about yourself, you are more likely to feel good about others too. There's so much to know about living healthy... and that's why you can find all of our Medical Minutes and The Staying Young Radio Show at STAY YOUNG AMERICA DOT COM.
