We have a special guest, a returning guest, Dr. Danny Chan was an Assistant Professor in the Dept. of Radiology, Division of Interventional Radiology, at the UT Southwestern Medical Center and was Medical Director of the Non-Invasive Vascular Laboratory at St. Paul University Hospital, Dallas for many years before co-founding Precision VIR.

A retrospective study out of Stanford University Medical Center suggests that men with prostate cancer who are treated with testosterone-lowering drugs are two times more likely to develop dementia within five years as prostate cancer patients who were not given such drugs.

  • Varicocele affects 15% of adult men
  • Is varicocele associated with male infertility? Should infertile men be checked?
  • It is thought that the blood from the enlarged veins increase the temperature in the scrotum, decreasing sperm production. Testes function at around 3 degrees below body temperature.
  • Varicocele is associated with low testosterone
  • Explain the procedure to repair a varicocele with embolization
