That’s right, telomere’s, which are on the capes of your chromosome shorten as you age. New research shows that people’s telomeres shorten faster when they are depressed. In the research lead by Dr. Josin Verhoeven, they found that people with depression in their medical history were actually older, biologically speaking, than those who had never had depression. So, even though things may seem hard to handle, know that staying positive may actually help you live longer.
