1 in 10 people in the US and Canada develop Diabetes type II. The good news is that diabetes can often be reversed with lifestyle change and weight loss. According to some doctors who wrote in BMJ Case Reports, intermittent fasting may be the answer to reversing this deadly disease. These doctors studied patients with known diabetes and placed them on intermittent fasting routines, either fasting for 24 hours every other day or 3 days per week. All of the study subjects were able to completely go off if insulin after ten months on the program.
