Have you ever wondered about how many dreams you have a night? Why you sometimes remember them and sometimes can’t? Some research suggests that people who dream actually have a higher IQ. The trick here is that most people, even with the highest intelligence, can’t remember their dreams. When you do remember them, they may feel like they lasted all night long. The truth is, dreams only last a few seconds and you have lots of them all night long. Most dreaming happens in stage five which is called rapid eye movement or REM sleep for short. Getting adequate sleep is important to cognitive function. Perhaps there’s the link – people who actually have good quality sleep are naturally smarter!
