Having trouble keeping the weight off? While there are a list of foods you should avoid like sugar, artificial sweeteners, and processed carbohydrates, there is also a list of things you should be eating and drinking. Green tea for example should replace things like coffee and sodas. Dark chocolate should be your chocolate of choice – in moderation of course. Berries, apples, lemons and limes are great for metabolism and the digestive tract. And steel- cut oats should replace those boxed cereals. You can shed the pound and keep them off – just choose wisely.

Sometimes we crave what we really shouldn’t have. If you’re living with someone with Alzheimer’s disease, its quite common for them to crave foods that are fried. They also may eat more breads and processed foods. These are the very things they don’t need to eat. So, if you’re a care giver, keep sweets and processed foods out of house. Encourage things like fresh fruits and vegetables. Not only will it help your loved one, it will also help you the caregiver because the symptoms of Alzheimer’s are only worsened when they eat the wrong types of foods.

The focus of this show is the extreme importance of a yearly physical exam. We explain that not all exams are created equal, and we break all the different exams down for you and discuss what we feel everyone needs and why. Together the 3 hosts go system by system – explaining why the components of proper testing are your best line of defense. The doctors describes the importance of physically examining a patient – and even give examples of where their observations in physical exams gave clues to a major diagnosis. Judy tells a special personal story of why a recent doctor's exam saved her daughter's life!  While breaking down the different types of exams the team also explains the wide variation of “physical exams” AND go into detail of why they chose to open Executive Medicine of Texas.
